ומלכת זמרגד שמעת ית שמע שלמה ואתת לנסאה ית שלמה במתלון דחידין בירושלם בחיל תקיף לחדא והוגנין טעינין בוסמין ודהבא לסוגי ומרגלין בחירן ואתת לות שלמה ומללת עמיה ית כל מה דהוא עם לבה:
lbh em dhwa mh kl yth emyh wmllth shlmh lwth wathth bkhyrn wmrglyn lswgy wdhba bwsmyn Teynyn whwgnyn lkhda thqyp bkhyl byrwshlm dkhydyn bmthlwn shlmh yth lnsah wathth shlmh shme yth shmeth zmrgd wmlkth
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to test Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great caravan, including camels that bore spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones. When she had come to Solomon, she talked with him about all that was in her heart.

ותני לה שלמה ית כל פתגמהא ולא אתכסי מן שלמה מדעם דלא תני לה:
lh thny dla mdem shlmh mn athksy wla pthgmha kl yth shlmh lh wthny
Solomon answered all her questions. There wasn’t anything hidden from Solomon which he didn’t tell her.

וחמת מלכא זמרגד ית חכמת שלמה ובית מקדשא די בנא:
bna dy mqdsha wbyth shlmh khkmth yth zmrgd mlka wkhmth
When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,

ומיכלא דפתוריה ואסחרות עבדוי ומוקמנא דשמשוי ולבושיהון ושקותיה ולבושיהון ומסקתיה דסליק לבית מקדשא דיי ולא אשתירת בה תוב רוחא:
rwkha thwb bh ashthyrth wla dyy mqdsha lbyth dslyq wmsqthyh wlbwshyhwn wshqwthyh wlbwshyhwn dshmshwy wmwqmna ebdwy waskhrwth dpthwryh wmykla
the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his ministers, their clothing, his cup bearers and their clothing, and his ascent by which he went up to Yahweh’s house, there was no more spirit in her.

ואמרת למלכא קושטא פתגמא די שמעית בארעאי מטול דביריך ומטול חכמתך:
khkmthk wmTwl dbyryk mTwl bareay shmeyth dy pthgma qwshTa lmlka wamrth
She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts and of your wisdom.

ולא המנית לפתגמיא עד דאתיתי וחמאה עיני והא לא אתחוא לי פלגות מן סוגעא דחכמתך אוספתא על שמועתא די שמעית:
shmeyth dy shmwetha el awsptha dkhkmthk swgea mn plgwth ly athkhwa la wha eyny wkhmah dathythy ed lpthgmya hmnyth wla
However I didn’t believe their words until I came, and my eyes had seen it; and behold half of the greatness of your wisdom wasn’t told me. You exceed the fame that I heard!

טוביהון דגבריך וטוביהון דעבדך אלין דקימין קדמך תדירא ושמעין ית חכמתך:
khkmthk yth wshmeyn thdyra qdmk dqymyn alyn debdk wTwbyhwn dgbryk Twbyhwn
Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom.

יהי יי אלהך מברך דאתרעי בך למנאה יתך מלכא למתב על כורסי מלכותא למהוי מליך קדם יי אלהך בדרחים יי אלהך ית ישראל לקימותיה לעלם ומני יתך עלויהון למלכא למעבד דין דקשוט וזכו:
wzkw dqshwT dyn lmebd lmlka elwyhwn ythk wmny lelm lqymwthyh yshral yth alhk yy bdrkhym alhk yy qdm mlyk lmhwy mlkwtha kwrsy el lmthb mlka ythk lmnah bk dathrey mbrk alhk yy yhy
Blessed be Yahweh your God, who delighted in you and set you on his throne to be king for Yahweh your God, because your God loved Israel, to establish them forever. Therefore he made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.”

ויהבת למלכא מאה ועשרין קנטירין די דהב ובוסמיא לסוגי לחדא ומרגלין בחירן לא הוה הי כבוסמא ההוא די יהבת מלכת זמרגד לשלמה :
lshlmh zmrgd mlkth yhbth dy hhwa kbwsma hy hwh la bkhyrn wmrglyn lkhda lswgy wbwsmya dhb dy qnTyryn weshryn mah lmlka wyhbth
She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great abundance, and precious stones. There was never before such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

ואוף עבדי חירם ועבדי שלמה דאיתיאו דהבא מאופיר איתיאו קיסי אלגומיא ומרגליתא בחירן:
bkhyrn wmrglytha algwmya qysy aythyaw mawpyr dhba daythyaw shlmh webdy khyrm ebdy wawp
The servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, also brought algum trees and precious stones.

ועבד מלכא מן קיסי אלמוגיא כבשיא לסעיד לבית מקדשא דיי ולבית מלכא וכנריא ונבליא לבני לוי דמשבחין בהון ולא אתחמון דכמתהון מן קדמת דנא בארעא דבית יהודה:
yhwdh dbyth barea dna qdmth mn dkmthhwn athkhmwn wla bhwn dmshbkhyn lwy lbny wnblya wknrya mlka wlbyth dyy mqdsha lbyth lseyd kbshya almwgya qysy mn mlka webd
The king used algum tree wood to make terraces for Yahweh’s house and for the king’s house, and harps and stringed instruments for the singers. There were none like these seen before in the land of Judah.

ומלכא שלמה יהב למלכת זמרגד ית כל רעותה דבעת מניה לבר די יהב לה חלופי מה דאיתיאת לות מלכא ואתפניאת ואזלת לארעהא היא ועבדהא:
webdha hya lareha wazlth wathpnyath mlka lwth daythyath mh khlwpy lh yhb dy lbr mnyh dbeth rewthh kl yth zmrgd lmlkth yhb shlmh wmlka
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, more than that which she had brought to the king. So she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.

והוה מתקלא דדהבא די הוה אתי לשלמה בשתא חדא שית מאה ושתין ושית קנטרין דדהבא:
ddhba qnTryn wshyth wshthyn mah shyth khda bshtha lshlmh athy hwh dy ddhba mthqla whwh
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,

בר מאגר אומניא וסחורת תגריא וכל מלכי סיסטותא ושלטוני ארעא דמובלין כרגא דהבא וכספא לשלמה:
lshlmh wkspa dhba krga dmwblyn area wshlTwny sysTwtha mlky wkl thgrya wskhwrth awmnya magr br
in addition to that which the traders and merchants brought. All the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

ועבד מלכא שלמה מאתן עגילין דדהבא סנינא ועזלין יתיה הי כחוטא שית מאה סלעין דדהבא סנינא סליק על עגולא חד:
khd egwla el slyq snyna ddhba sleyn mah shyth kkhwTa hy ythyh wezlyn snyna ddhba egylyn mathn shlmh mlka webd
King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold. Six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one large shield.

ותלת מאה תריסין דדהבא סנינא תלת מאה סלעין דדהבא סליק על תריסא חדא ומנינון מלכא בביתא מקירת מלכיא:
mlkya mqyrth bbytha mlka wmnynwn khda thrysa el slyq ddhba sleyn mah thlth snyna ddhba thrysyn mah wthlth
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold. Three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. The king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.

ועבד מלכא כורסיא דשן דפיל רבא וחפהי דהב דכי:
dky dhb wkhphy rba dpyl dshn kwrsya mlka webd
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.

ושיתא מסוקין לכורסיא וכיבש בדהבא סגלגלי כורסא מדבקין ביה ואשדיתא מכא ומכא על אתר בית מותבא ותרין אריון קימין כל קבל אשדיתא :
ashdytha qbl kl qymyn arywn wthryn mwthba byth athr el wmka mka washdytha byh mdbqyn kwrsa sglgly bdhba wkybsh lkwrsya mswqyn wshytha
There were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and armrests on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the armrests.

ותריסר אריון קימין תמן על שית מסוקין מכא ומכא לא אתעביד היכנא לכלהון מלכותא:
mlkwtha lklhwn hykna athebyd la wmka mka mswqyn shyth el thmn qymyn arywn wthrysr
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps. There was nothing like it made in any other kingdom.

וכלהון מאני משתיא דמלכא שלמה ומאני בית מקירת מלכא דהב טב לית בהון כספא ארום לא אתחשיב סימא ביומי שלמה למדעם:
lmdem shlmh bywmy syma athkhshyb la arwm kspa bhwn lyth Tb dhb mlka mqyrth byth wmany shlmh dmlka mshthya many wklhwn
All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. Silver was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon.

ארום אלפיא למלכא דאזלין לאפרקיא עם עבדיא דחירם זימנא חדא לתלת שנין אתין אלפיא דאפריקיא טעינן דהבא וסימא ושן דפיל וקופין וטוסין :
wTwsyn wqwpyn dpyl wshn wsyma dhba Teynn dapryqya alpya athyn shnyn lthlth khda zymna dkhyrm ebdya em laprqya dazlyn lmlka alpya arwm
For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with Huram’s servants. Once every three years, the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

ורבא מלכא שלמה מן כלהון מלכי ארעא לעותר ולחכמתא:
wlkhkmtha lewthr area mlky klhwn mn shlmh mlka wrba
So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

וכלהון מלכי ארעא בען ית סבר אפי שלמה למשמע ית חכמתיה דיהב יי בלביה:
blbyh yy dyhb khkmthyh yth lmshme shlmh apy sbr yth ben area mlky wklhwn
All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

ואנון מיתין גבר דורוניה מאני דכספא ומאני דדהבא ופלדסין דבוץ זיני קרבא ובוסמנין סוסון וכודנין גזירת שנא בשנא:
bshna shna gzyrth wkwdnyn swswn wbwsmnyn qrba zyny dbwts wpldsyn ddhba wmany dkspa many dwrwnyh gbr mythyn wanwn
They each brought tribute: vessels of silver, vessels of gold, clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules every year.

והוה לשלמה ארבע אלפין אורין דסוסון וארתכין ותריסר אלפין פרשין ואשרינון בקרוי ארתכיא בר מן מה די הוי עם מלכא בירושלם:
byrwshlm mlka em hwy dy mh mn br arthkya bqrwy washrynwn prshyn alpyn wthrysr warthkyn dswswn awryn alpyn arbe lshlmh whwh
Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen that he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

והוה שליט בכלהון מלכיא מן פרת ועד ארעא דפלשתאי ועד תחום מצרים:
mtsrym thkhwm wed dplshthay area wed prth mn mlkya bklhwn shlyT whwh
He ruled over all the kings from the River even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

ויהב מלכא ית סימא בירושלם זליל הי כאבניא וית ארזיא יהב בזילותא הי כשקמניא דבשפלתא לסוגי:
lswgy dbshpltha kshqmnya hy bzylwtha yhb arzya wyth kabnya hy zlyl byrwshlm syma yth mlka wyhb
The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars to be as abundant as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

ומפקין סוסון ממצרים לשלמה ומן כלהון ארעתא:
aretha klhwn wmn lshlmh mmtsrym swswn wmpqyn
They brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt and out of all lands.

ומותר מלי שלמה קדמאי ובתראי הלא אנון כתיבין על פתגמי נתן נביא ועל נבואתיה דאחיה דמן שילה ובחזונא דעדו נביא דאתנבאו על ירבעם בר נבט:
nbT br yrbem el dathnbaw nbya dedw wbkhzwna shylh dmn dakhyh nbwathyh wel nbya nthn pthgmy el kthybyn anwn hla wbthray qdmay shlmh mly wmwthr
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, aren’t they written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?

ומליך שלמה בירושלם על כלהון ישראל ארבעין שנין:
shnyn arbeyn yshral klhwn el byrwshlm shlmh wmlyk
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
